Srinagar, July 2 (IANS) The Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) has expanded its online facility to offer virtual ‘puja’ to millions of devotees around the world who have not been able to come to Amarnath this year. , ‘Haban’, ‘Darshan’ and ‘Prasad’ bookings for personal experience of the Holy Cave Temple for all devotees.
It was reported on Saturday that fans can book their slots and distribute prasad at their doorsteps.
Nitishwar Kumar, CEO, SASB, said that the online services can be booked through the Shrine Board’s website – www.shriamarnathjishrine.com – by clicking on the ‘Book Online Puja / Haban / Prasad’ link and also through the board’s mobile. Applications that can be downloaded from Google Play.
The charges are – Rs. 1,100 for virtual pujo, Rs. 1,100 for booking prasad with 5 gm silver coin of Sri Amarnathji, Rs. 2,100 for booking prasad with 10 gm silver coin and Rs. 5,100 for any one special havan or combination above .
In the Virtual Puja or Haban Guha temple, the priests pronounce the names of the devotees and the ‘gotra’, the ‘mantra’ and the ‘shlok’.
“Making the most of the available technology and digitization, fans will be given a virtual online room through the Geo Meat app where they will be able to perform a special virtual worship and visit Lord Shiva,” Kumar said.
“We have made an arrangement with the postal department to send the prasad within 48 hours,” he added.
Once booked, the Shrine Board will share the link and date / time on the fan’s registered mobile number / e-mail ID, he said.
