Anantara Mamucabo Bahia Resort will offer two outdoor swimming pools

The property will be located in Baixio, a district on the northern coastline of Bahia, about 150 kilometers from Salvador.

Construction of the new-build property will begin in 2023, and will span 500,000 square meters of space. The resort’s architecture and interior design is being handled by Sidney Quintala Architecture + Urban Planning, with landscaping by Brazilian creative landscaper Alex Hanazaki.

Anantara Mamukabo will offer 116 guest rooms, suites and pool villas ranging from 70 to 163 square meters.

Leisure areas will include three restaurants, two outdoor swimming pools, a beach club and water sports area, a kids’ club and an area for babies and children.

A restaurant and a bar inside the Beach Club will serve regional cuisine from Bahia, while the hotel’s main restaurant will offer international and Brazilian cuisine. An Asian restaurant will be located in the central area of ​​the resort, overlooking the Mamukabo River, from which the resort takes its name.

Additional facilities will include a sports area, a tennis court and a paddle tennis court, a fitness center, a yoga terrace and a relaxation area.

The Anantara Spa will have a swimming pool, massage room, a sauna and a hydrotherapy circuit.

Dilip Rajakariyar, CEO of Minor Hotels, the parent company of Anantara Hotels, Resorts and Spas, said the South American continent is “a part of the world where we are keen to expand Anantara’s footprint and this exciting project represents the right opportunity.”

The Anantara portfolio currently comprises more than 45 hotels and resorts.
