Trees4Travel adds reporting and secures CMAC deal

Travel Sustainability expert Trees4Travel today announced the launch of new Scope 1 and 2 and SECR reporting at the Business Travel Show Europe, as well as a new partnership with the land transport company CMAC Group.

The company will now provide monthly carbon usage reports to corporate customers now partnered with Trees4Travel through their travel management company in line with the UK’s Scope 1 and 2 and SECR (Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting).

Trees4Travel says an estimated 11,900 companies in the UK have to provide carbon reporting but many still struggle to provide the necessary documentation.

The company has also introduced Quick Quote, a specific monthly carbon compensation plan for businesses that is recalculated annually based on the previous 12 months of business travel activity.

Meanwhile, land transport company CMAC Group has partnered with Trees4Travel as part of a larger sustainable strategy. The company has promised to be carbon neutral by the end of 2023.

The partnership will see Trees4Travel count and plant the number of trees needed by CMAC staff to absorb CO2 emissions generated by travel, as well as enable it to offset customer emissions through tree-growing projects.

“Sustainability is playing a growing role in business travel, how organizations think about social responsibility and how they manage day-to-day activities,” said Peter Slater, CEO of CMAC Group.

“We are committed to adopting sustainable work policies and practices that encourage our employees to reduce their impact on the environment. We’re also introducing a range of new environmental initiatives that support approaches to sustainability for our clients, such as Trees4Travel, while still ensuring they have access to flexible vehicle solutions and full location coverage. ”
