Travel news: Scandinavia, South America capture top restaurant awards

(CNN)- In travel news this week: the world’s best restaurants for 2022, the world’s most powerful passports and the worst airports for delays and cancellations this summer.

Destination inspiration

South Africa is one of several countries with a reduced risk level on the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s travel advisory list this week due to declining Covid rates. Restaurant news

A Copenhagen restaurant has been named the best in the world: it’s in a soccer stadium, it doesn’t serve meat and it’s only open four days a week. Read on to learn more about the dining spots honored at this year’s World’s 50 Best Restaurants awards.
The top 50 has its own unusual qualities, but only one restaurant in the world has the dinosaur stamp of approval: a 100-million-year-old sauropod footprint was found in a restaurant in China’s Sichuan province.
And in London, renowned Ukrainian chef Yuriy Kovryzenko is set to open a restaurant in the upscale Chelsea neighborhood staffed by Ukrainian refugees. The bistro’s name is Moriah, Ukrainian for “dream” – and it was also the name of the world’s largest cargo plane, the Antonov An-225, which was destroyed during the invasion of Ukraine.

And when it comes to winemaking in South Africa, some of the industry’s most valuable employees have the lips and lips. At the Virginogd lo the wine estate just outside Cape Town, a battalion of around 1,600 ducks is used to keep the vineyards free of pests.
