The Swansea Building Society has renewed its partnership with Swansea City Football Club in a new sponsorship deal that will turn the building society behind the shirt sponsors for the 2022/23 season, including the city headquarters.
The renewal commitment follows a three-year sponsorship deal with the championship team, which saw an executive lounge at the club’s home venue – Swansea.com Stadium – change the name of the Swansea Building Society Lounge.
The new deal will see the Swansea Building Society’s logo embellish the club’s kit in a prominent position on the back of players’ shirts for both the home and away kits for the 2022/23 season.
The Swansea Building Society and the Swansea City AFC have a long history together, with the Society providing various sponsorships to the club in recent years. Both organizations share similarly long histories as key features within the Swansea community. The football club, then known as Swansea Town, won its first league honor in 1924, just one year after the founding of the Swansea Building Society. Both have achieved considerable growth and success in the intervening years.
As the Building Society approaches its centenary, it has achieved record results and crossed the significant milestone of মোট 500 million in total assets.
As a result, Mutual – with branch offices in Swansea, Mumbles, Carmarthen and Cowbridge – has expanded, invested আই 1 million in IT, and recruited six new members this year. This was achieved after posting a growth of £ 28.5 million in the first quarter of the year – the highest growth figure in any quarter since the Building Society was formed in 1923.
The main purpose of the Society is to arrange savings and mortgage products throughout the South Wales area. The unique range of privately created mortgages is funded by its members’ savings. As the only financial institution with its headquarters in South West Wales, it prides itself on its personal, face-to-face approach, which it uses to serve its members, customers and their community in a convenient and flexible way. This approach enables individuals and their families to safely achieve their financial goals.
Alun Williams, chief executive of the Swansea Building Society, said:
It is surprising for the Society to be able to renew its partnership with Swansea City Football Club as a shirt sponsor for the upcoming season. The Swansea Building Society has a long tradition of supporting the city football club, and we share a long and rich history as well, as well as a commitment to the city of Swansea and its communities.
The Society is moving towards celebrating its centenary by achieving record results recently and crossing several notable milestones. In that context, we feel it is important to renew our commitment to Swansea City AFC, and we wish the club every success in the coming season and beyond.
