Aparthotel operator Stacity Group is set to make its debut in Portugal with properties in both Porto and Lisbon.
They will both operate under the Cityity brand Wild Aparthotel when they open in late 2024 and offer different studio and one-bedroom apartments. The announcement was made during the Business Travel Show Europe in London on Wednesday (June 29).
The Porto property will have a total of 80 apartments while the Lisbon location will have 95 units. They will also offer guests a coffee shop, gym, 24-hour reception and laundry room.
Dublin-based Stacy has recently been in expansion mode with the opening of several new properties over the past 12 months, including locations in Bordeaux, Heidelberg and Dublin, and two hotels in London.
Staycity CEO Tom Walsh said: “We are delighted to open up to this popular Portuguese destination and move our Wild brand to one of our European target regions that are already operating in Germany and the UK.”
The company’s strategy is to open new-build properties in European cities that enjoy both strong leisure and business demand.
