Chrome version 103 has rolled out to the desktop web browser with a bunch of new features and updates. With this new release, Google is introducing a number of new features for iPhone and iPad users that expand usability and security. Whether you’re using the latest iPhone 13, iPhone 12 or any other iPhone model, new unique features have reached you and as you try them out, a 9to5Google report recommends. Okay, to get started, you’ll need to update your Chrome app first. You can simply search Google Chrome in the App Store and tap the Update button if available. Now, let’s check out what’s coming to iPhone users with the Chrome 103 update.

New features for iPhone users with the Chrome 103 update

New look for three-point menus: The Chrome 103 update has changed the look of the three-point menu option at the bottom-right of Chrome on your iPhone. Now, it starts with a colorful carousel that offers quick access to options like bookmarks, history, reading list, passwords, downloads, recent tabs and settings.

Language recognition mode: An impressive update with Chrome 103 is “Language Recognition Mode”. What does it do? It uses machine learning to analyze which language a website uses and tries to determine if it needs to be translated into the language of your choice. The best part is that this machine learning is done on the device only, which means there is no translation on Google or any third-party server. This is a safe way to translate articles on the web without worrying about security.

Set camera and microphone permissions for select websites: With this update, you can set camera and microphone permissions for specific websites instead of full Chrome. This will allow you to use your iPhone camera and microphone for selective trusted websites while distinguishing them from other websites.

Improved Safe Browsing: The report states that iPhone users can also expect enhanced Safe Browsing. However, this feature may not be available to all users. The report recommends trying to find it in Google service options under Settings.
