Tommy Freeman He and fellow Northampton Saints will donate red roses for the first time on Sunday as a teammate. Courtney LodgeEddie Jones has been named in the squad to face the Barbarians at Twickenham Stadium.
The 21-year-old fullback will make his first appearance in England at the senior level in the opening XV, when the pucca international law bench will start a non-cap clash.
The Barbarians match is an important part of Eddie Jones’ team’s preparations for the tour of Australia. England will play three Tests against Wallaby in Perth (July 2), Brisbane (July 9) and Sydney (July 16).
Head coach Jones said: “This is a young team, they are really well prepared and have worked hard in the last few camps to come together as a group. This is a great opportunity to play in the England XV team and show what they can do.
“We look forward to playing against an unusual French barbarian – which you usually get when you play with French barbarians.
“We will use this as an opportunity to create combinations for the tour of Australia and to evaluate the players.
“We will keep our best foot and it will make a great game of rugby for all the fans of Twickenham.”
