Earthquake in Nepal
A magnitude 4.3 earthquake shook Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, on Thursday. No deaths have been reported so far. According to the National Center for Seismology, the magnitude of the quake was 4.3 on the Richter scale.

Knife violence in New Zealand
A man stabbed four people in a New Zealand town on Thursday, before visitors brought him to the ground, authorities said. District Police Commander Nayla Hassan said the suspect in the Auckland attack was in custody.

“It was an extremely fast-moving incident, where our police personnel responded quickly, arrested the perpetrator and prevented further damage to our community,” Hassan said. The motive for the attack was not immediately clear. New Zealand was the scene of two violent stabbings at a supermarket last year.
