FCM, the corporate travel management company of Flight Center Travel Group, is launching a new online booking tool in the UK next month, which will be an additional component of its wide open platform booking solution for customers.
According to Marcus Eckland, FCM Global Managing Director, the tool will “help UK travel managers make data-driven decisions about booking behavior.” “FCM Booking wants to marry cost control with a friendly user experience who wants to close a gap in the midmarket segment that supports and encourages strong adoption.”
Among its features is a “tuning” where booking options are controlled with personalized algorithms or personal spending levels. The tool also includes AI technology to give travelers a choice with travel policy and a choice that matches loyalty membership. FCM’s browser extension software combines air and hotel content from multiple sources of tools.
Having their own booking tool to offer will make it easier and faster for FCM to configure for new users, as it will already be integrated into the FCM platform, which includes a selection of recommended APIs such as responsibility-for-care providers. HR feeds as well as other booking tools according to FCM.
Selected UK customers are now piloting the booking tool and FCM plans to launch it more widely later this year. According to a spokesman for the Flight Center, it plans to expand to the United States in the next few months.
