CTM acquires independent travel network

Australia-based Corporate Travel Management (CTM) has completed the acquisition of its independent travel network, 1000 Miles Travel Group, the company announced on Friday.

The agreement will expand the footprint of the travel management company’s independent consultant in the corporate SME market and is the fourth acquisition of CTM in the last two years, following the recent acquisitions of Helloworld Corporate in April 2022 and Travel and Transport in 2020.

CTM founder and managing director Jamie Ferras said the acquisition was a “complementary expansion” of the company’s corporate travel services, and he wanted to expand the 1,000-mile travel model to the United Kingdom and North America.

“1000 Mile Travel Group is a highly successful business that has created a unique value proposition for agents who do not just want to manage their own SME portfolio at home, but want to grow that portfolio and serve the needs of corporate clients,” he said. .

Ben Ross, founder and managing director of 1000 Mile Travel, added that the acquisition paved the way for significant growth at a ‘major’ time in the recovery of the industry.

“Our business was established to meet the market needs of independent corporate travel business owners, and our business model has grown from strength to strength. “He said.

The acquisition follows an almost year-long partnership between the two companies through the provision of CTM’s Lightning online booking tool.
